Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using SigPDF at sigpdf.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SigPDF is a web-based tool that allows you to add electronic signatures to PDF documents. The Service processes PDFs entirely within your web browser. We do not upload, store, or access your documents.

3. Subscription and Pricing

Using the PDF signing tool (uploading, creating signatures, and placing them) is free. Downloading signed PDFs requires an active SigPDF Pro subscription.

3.1 Subscription Terms

  • Price: €2.99/month.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
  • All prices include applicable taxes (VAT). Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

3.2 Automatic Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at €2.99/month. You will receive a notification before any price change takes effect. You may cancel at any time before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the next period.

3.3 Unlimited Downloads

While your subscription is active, you may download an unlimited number of signed PDFs at no additional cost.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time using any of the following methods:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to the Service until then.

4.2 Refunds

If you cancel within the first 14 days of your initial subscription and have not downloaded any signed PDFs, you may request a full refund by contacting support@sigpdf.com. After this period, refunds are provided at our discretion for billing errors or technical issues that prevented use of the Service.

4.3 Price Changes

We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any changes to subscription pricing. You may cancel before the new price takes effect. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Widerrufsbelehrung (Right of Withdrawal)

The following withdrawal policy applies to consumers within the European Union.

Widerrufsrecht

Sie haben das Recht, binnen vierzehn Tagen ohne Angabe von Gründen diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen. Die Widerrufsfrist beträgt vierzehn Tage ab dem Tag des Vertragsabschlusses.

Um Ihr Widerrufsrecht auszuüben, müssen Sie uns (Joe Farwick, Ludwig-van-Beethoven-Str. 53, 59075 Hamm, Deutschland, E-Mail: support@sigpdf.com) mittels einer eindeutigen Erklärung (z.B. ein mit der Post versandter Brief oder E-Mail) über Ihren Entschluss, diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen, informieren.

Zur Wahrung der Widerrufsfrist reicht es aus, dass Sie die Mitteilung über die Ausübung des Widerrufsrechts vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist absenden.

Folgen des Widerrufs

Wenn Sie diesen Vertrag widerrufen, haben wir Ihnen alle Zahlungen, die wir von Ihnen erhalten haben, unverzüglich und spätestens binnen vierzehn Tagen ab dem Tag zurückzuzahlen, an dem die Mitteilung über Ihren Widerruf dieses Vertrags bei uns eingegangen ist. Für diese Rückzahlung verwenden wir dasselbe Zahlungsmittel, das Sie bei der ursprünglichen Transaktion eingesetzt haben, es sei denn, mit Ihnen wurde ausdrücklich etwas anderes vereinbart; in keinem Fall werden Ihnen wegen dieser Rückzahlung Entgelte berechnet.

Right of Withdrawal (English Translation)

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Joe Farwick, Ludwig-van-Beethoven-Str. 53, 59075 Hamm, Germany, email: support@sigpdf.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email).

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received notification of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no case will you be charged any fees for such reimbursement.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You have the legal right to sign the documents you upload
  • You will not use the Service for fraudulent or illegal purposes
  • You are responsible for the content of your documents
  • You understand that our electronic signatures are not certified digital signatures

7. Electronic Signatures

SigPDF provides electronic signatures as defined under the eIDAS Regulation (EU 910/2014). These are simple electronic signatures and are not qualified electronic signatures (QES). While electronic signatures are legally recognized in many jurisdictions, some documents may require higher levels of signature authentication. It is your responsibility to determine whether an electronic signature is appropriate for your use case.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Your PDF documents are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to the legal validity of signatures created using the tool.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The courts of Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
