Will the school accept an electronically signed permission slip?
Most schools that email a permission slip as a PDF accept it back signed electronically, but the school decides. If the email says to return a paper copy, print the signed PDF and send it in. If the school uses its own app or portal for permission slips, sign there instead.
Which parent should sign the permission slip?
Normally a parent or legal guardian listed with the school signs. One signature is usually enough unless the form asks for two. If a court order limits who can make decisions for the child, follow that order and tell the school.
